The Open Adult Division focuses on instruction for adult students ages 14 and up, and allows the student to take Ballet, Adult Contemporary Dance, or Pilates on a per class basis with flexible attendance. Pay either per class or with a ten class card. There is no need to pre-register; just come for the class you would like to attend. Classes are drop-in style. The PBT School Beginning Ballet class is designed for the adult student who has little to no prior ballet experience or who is easing back into ballet. Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced classes require prior ballet experience.

Pilates Mat classes are provided for the beginner and intermediate level student. Pilates provides a systematic workout to increase range of motion, strength, flexibility, and alignment.

Adult Contemporary Dance - Join PBT School Faculty members, for our Wednesday evening class.

Open Division Dress Code - Come dressed in comfortable, fitted workout clothing (yoga pants, shorts, etc.). If you find that you are continuing classes on a regular basis it is a good idea to invest in some sort of dance wear.

The Benefits of Ballet

IN THE PAST TWO DECADES, DANCE HAS ENJOYED A RESURGENCE OF INTEREST AS BOTH A MEDIUM OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND EXERCISE MODALITY FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

While many adults still choose yoga or Pilates to balance out the long hours of sedentary life, more and more choose ballet for its high "fun factor." But what's really attracting those to the ballet studio? Ballet is a total body workout and a form of artistic expression that requires both discipline and focus. It promotes creative expression, and brings with it tremendous benefits in terms of health and emotional well-being. Simply said, ballet is "therapeutic" for both mind and body.
