Q&A
What has your favorite role been?
It’s hard to choose among my favorite classical ballets, but dancing Yuri Possokhov’s Classical Symphony stands out. Performing this neoclassical piece helped me discover a whole new kind of joy and allowed me to be completely fearless on stage.
Has there been a defining moment in your career?
Performing Myrtha in Giselle was a true defining moment for me. The role is physically demanding and requires a powerful presence to command Act ll. Pushing through that challenge taught me that I could break past my own limits. That growth – along with the guidance I received from the artistic staff at Tulsa Ballet – shaped who I am today. I truly wouldn’t be the dancer I am now without them and this role.
What’s the food you usually refuse to share?
Any kind of Japanese food!
