PBT is in search of talented, versatile ballet artists who are interested in joining the organization and its commitment to collaboration, community and the creation of extraordinary ballet experiences that give life to the classical tradition, nurture new ideas and, most of all, inspire.
PBT Apprentice Program
PBT’s Apprentice Program provides emerging Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre company artists with opportunities to grow and excel in their burgeoning professional dance careers. With the goal of acting as a vital bridge between formal training and a professional ballet career, PBT’s Apprentice Program focuses on providing individualized coaching and mentorship. PBT apprentices perform in their own January PBT Apprentice Showcase. Repertoire is selected by apprentices in conjunction with the artistic team. Senior company artists coach apprentices in the repertoire.
Additionally, PBT prides itself on ensuring that apprentices have access to continuing education opportunities. In so being, PBT provides financial support for apprentices to enroll in higher education/supplemental education programs.
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre apprentice positions have been made possible through a generous gift from Leslie Fleischner and her late husband Hans.
