Studio Etiquette


Ballet

Brush up your battements at the barre or learn plié for the first time in our Beginner–Advanced ballet classes. Find strength and grace through the classic art form in the place where ballet is at the heart of all we do.

Ballet 101

Ballet 101 is an 9 class series designed for the absolute beginner to learn the fundamental positions, basic techniques and terminology of classical ballet. No dance experience is necessary, and exercises can be modified for all fitness levels. Suggested attire: comfortable, fitted athletic attire. Socks or ballet slippers.

Beginning Ballet

Beginning Ballet is a continuation of the fundamentals taught in Ballet 101 and is recommended for those with prior ballet experience. Each class begins at barre and ends with a vigorous series of ballet combinations at center. Classes feature live piano accompaniment. Suggested attire: comfortable, fitted athletic attire. Socks or ballet slippers.

Intermediate Ballet

Intermediate classes require prior ballet experience. Students will learn new combinations and expand their movement vocabulary from the beginning level. Classes feature live piano accompaniment. Suggested attire: comfortable, fitted athletic attire. Socks or ballet slippers.

Advanced Ballet

Advanced classes require prior ballet experience. Students will build increasingly complex combinations at barre and center. Classes feature live piano accompaniment. Suggested attire: comfortable, fitted athletic attire. Socks or ballet slippers.


Dance and Fitness

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a fitness enthusiast, ballet-based fitness works all the major muscle groups, burns calories and builds lean muscle — all in an uplifting environment.

Contemporary/Jazz

This open level contemporary class will investigate concepts of contemporary jazz and modern techniques through warm-up, floor exercises and combinations. Modifications will be given to accommodate various skill and comfort levels. Suggested attire: comfortable exercise apparel with socks or jazz shoes. 

PBT Barre Fitness

Step up to the barre for a challenging workout that combines the principles of ballet with strength-training and sculpting exercises, cardio and stretching. Suggested attire: comfortable exercise apparel with sticky socks or ballet slippers.

Pilates Mat (In Dance Studio)

Pilates provides a systematic workout to increase range of motion, strength, flexibility, and alignment. Mats are provided, but it is recommended to bring your own. Must be able to freely move up and down from the floor. Suggested attire: comfortable fitness attire and socks.

Express Classes

Exercise strength, agility and flexibility through these express classes with shorter class times to keep exercise a part of your busy schedule or to get a taste of our full-length dance and fitness programs.

Beginning Pointe

Students learn pointe work essentials and begin integrating it in their center combinations. Classes feature live piano accompaniment. Students must receive instructor endorsement before beginning en pointe. Class duration is 30 minutes. Suggested attire: comfortable, fitted athletic attire. Socks or ballet slippers. Pointe shoes required.

Our workshops provide a multitude of experiences from new certification training in Pilates to story ballet-themed dance workshops.
