Bring your students to see Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s student matinee performances! Pricing 

  • Schools with 50 – 100% free and reduced lunch student population: $10.00
  • Schools with 0 – 49% free and reduced lunch student population: $17.50
  • Home school and other groups: $17.50

Pittsburgh’s Favorite Holiday Tradition!

Set in turn-of-the-century Pittsburgh, Terrence S. Orr’s dazzling version of The Nutcracker highlights the city’s beloved landmarks, sports teams and history. Join Marie and the Nutcracker Prince on an unforgettable adventure through sparkling snow into the dreamy Land of Enchantment. Experience favorite dances, memorable scenes, magical costumes, shimmering snowflakes and the iconic Tchaikovsky score as you are swept into the most festive time of the year. The student matinee sold out last year – don’t miss your chance to experience it with your students!

Appropriate for grades K – 12.


PBT’s student matinees are performed at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, a beautiful, historic theater in the heart of Pittsburgh’s vibrant cultural district.
