Student Matinees for the 2026-27 Season
Bring your students to see Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s student matinee performances! Introduce them to the art of ballet with extravagant sets, vibrant costumes, dramatic lighting and the agility of PBT’s professional artists. Alice in Wonderland | Friday, February 12, 2027 at 11 a.m.
Purchase early to reserve your seats first! PBT does our best to honor tickets on a first come, first serve basis in seating priority, however that is not guaranteed. Groups will be seated based on reservation date, group size and other seating limitations. No specific seating area requests are able to be honored at this time, unless your group requires special seating accommodations such as wheelchair accessible seating.

- Schools with 50 – 100% free and reduced lunch student population: $10.00
- Schools with 0 – 49% free and reduced lunch student population: $17.50
- Home school and other groups: $17.50

Pittsburgh’s Favorite Holiday Tradition!
Set in turn-of-the-century Pittsburgh, Terrence S. Orr’s dazzling version of The Nutcracker highlights the city’s beloved landmarks, sports teams and history. Join Marie and the Nutcracker Prince on an unforgettable adventure through sparkling snow into the dreamy Land of Enchantment. Experience favorite dances, memorable scenes, magical costumes, shimmering snowflakes and the iconic Tchaikovsky score as you are swept into the most festive time of the year. The student matinee sold out last year – don’t miss your chance to experience it with your students!

Don’t be late! Your students are invited to slip into a fantastical realm where imagination reigns and the unexpected awaits at every turn. Alice in Wonderland is a visually dazzling adventure filled with beloved characters, colorful sets & costumes and joyful discovery. Bring your whole classroom and lose yourselves in the wonder.

PBT’s student matinees are performed at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, a beautiful, historic theater in the heart of Pittsburgh’s vibrant cultural district.
