Program Notes

This short ballet (less than 15 minutes) is an excerpt from the full story ballet Dracula.

Dracula’s henchman, Renfield, has abducted a young girl, Flora, from the nearby village, and has brought her to Dracula’s castle where she will become his latest bride. She is of course terrified. But after a series of advances and dances she weakens and relents. The ballet ends with Dracula’s ceremonial feast on the blood of his new bride.
