Program Notes
The culmination of The Sleeping Beauty is the spectacular wedding pas de deux of Aurora and the Prince. This a a gorgeous dance, with lush and expressive music and choreography. Its beauty is deceptively demanding, requiring intense control, power, and precision. Watch for “fish dives,” difficult and tricky lifts where the Prince has to grab Aurora with one arm as she dives toward the floor!
