What kind of space does a student need for a virtual summer program?

Our goal during the virtual summer programs is to keep our students engaged in dance, with their safety as our top priorityAs students look ahead towards utilizing the Zoom online platform on a regular basis, it is increasingly important to heighten one’s awareness of safety concerns regarding at home training.

A basic requirement of a 4’x6’ size space or larger, free from any obstacles (rugs, furniture, wires/cables etc.) is required for all virtual summer programs.

PBT has compiled a set of guidelines, injury prevention tips, and references to help dancers ensure their safety in physical and technical development. Students will receive a handbook in advance of the program that includes this set of guidelines. Students and parents/guardians are expected to have reviewed this document in its entirety prior to the start of summer classes.

Is there a dress code for the virtual summer programs?

Females: Any solid-color leotard (simple style), pink tights and pink ballet shoes

Males: Any solid-color T-shirt, black tights, white socks, and black or white ballet shoes

Is attendance required for all classes?

Students (and parents/guardians for Grown-Up & Me and Pre-Ballet 2) are required to participate in all scheduled classes for which the dancer is enrolled. All students must appear for all classes in a punctual manner.  Students who cannot meet these very basic requirements will not be permitted to participate.  The School office should be contacted any for extenuating circumstances.
