Encore

In 2017, we achieved a milestone, and a central part of our strategic plan, with the success of our $21.2 million Campaign for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. More than 175 supporters made possible the debt-free construction of our world-class Byham Center for Dance and important advances in repertoire, scholarships and education.

Now is our time to continue the momentum and fortify our future. Encore is a critical effort to preserve and elevate Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre for future generations. This named fund program will grow the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre endowment by $4 million — an increase of 50 percent. Your dedicated fund will sustain exceptional repertory, training opportunities for next-generation dancers and educational programs that engage thousands of students in our community.

You are invited to be an inaugural member of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Named Funds Program.

Please join us by considering a gift to endow:

Repertory: Invest in ballet’s greatest works and brightest choreographers — a critical factor in cultivating world-class artists, talented trainees and exceptional audience experiences.

Live Music: Heighten the performance experience by securing permanent funding for live orchestral accompaniment.

Scholarships: Advance an equitable, accessible art form and put premier training within reach for talented students in financial need.

Education & Access: Bring the research-backed benefits of ballet to classroom curriculum, early childhood education and therapeutic and recreational programs for people with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other special needs.
